This beautiful example of the sought after Mk 1 ‘Triple 6’ Sea-Dweller is the actual watch owned by the Mondani family and featured in their iconic Submariner/Sea-Dweller Book. Representing the example used to showcase the Mk1 Matte Dial reference 16660 Sea-Dweller covering a 2 page spread with full photography and specific Reference and Serial number details.

Guido Mondani began collecting Rolex models in the mid 1980s and it was this passion that lead to the in depth research and publication of the now well known encyclopaedic Rolex watch books showcasing the extensive collection.

Very good overall condition, remaining unpolished, with marks to the case and bracelet, case back and lugs. Flat spot to the rear case edge (as is seen in the Mondani book photography).

This watch has remained in the personal collection of our Owner/Director for over 10 years being worn on a regular basis.
