The Macallan Easter Elchies Black, a yearly release which celebrates the distillery's 'spiritual home' at the heart of the Macallan Estate and is limited to only 1958 bottles worldwide. The warmth and luxurious flavours are supposed to reflect the welcoming nature of Easter Elchies House.
The Easter Elchies series was originally launched in 2005 and the yearly bottling ran until 2013 before being discontinued. In 2018 it was revived to celebrate the incredible upgrade at the distillery which saw the installation of 36 new copper stills, but was stopped again in 2020, resulting in only 3 bottlings in this newer series.
Originally sold by selective ballot and a difficult Dram to acquire.

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 and prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow 'cut' of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all round the world.
