The Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 is fast becoming a highly sought after sports model from the neo-vintage era. Originally launched in 1988 this piece is from the early production years of the reference, dating to 1990.
Coming from the original Commercial Diver owner, making for an interesting example complete with copies of Dive Provenance.

Well known for their partnership with COMEX (Compagnie Maritime d’Expertises), Rolex were commissioned by the French Diving company in the 1970s to produce a reliable diving watch that could withstand extreme depths to be issued to their divers.
Featuring the COMEX logo on the dial and issue number on the case back these Submariners and Sea-Dwellers have become legendary in the collecting of Rolex and Dive watches.
With the scarcity and high prices achieved by Rolex COMEX watches it is a welcome opportunity to be able to own other Rolex dive watches that have been out there in the commercial diving world being used as intended as the ultimate tool watch and the personal choice of career professional commercial divers.

The piece we present here was previously owned and used by Mr D R Muir from Scotland who is still actively working in the industry and as I type this is currently in saturation sailing out to a job in the North Sea.
Working across the world Mr Muir’s commercial diving career has seen him on operations for various companies including DOF Subsea.

Included in the sale are colour copies of - Diver Training Certificate with ID photo, Closed Bell safety photo ID card, UC Marine diver training photo ID papers and various Diver logbook pages for work with DOF Subsea.
