RISING SUN
The ‘Rising Sun’ is the Red bezel version of the Limited Edition Tokyo Olympics 2020 Speedmaster Moonwatch (the actual event for which took place in 2021, leaving a strange anomaly on the case back engraving and marketing material).
Five editions were released at the time with each bezel taking on the colour of one of the Olympic rings but also resulted in 3 of the pieces looking very reminiscent of previous Apollo and Gemini Limited Editions.
The Red bezel ‘Rising Sun’ on the other hand is rather unique with its stunning almost Moondust like silver dial and is the first time the Red of the Omega branding is used on the bezel of a Moonwatch.
The Tokyo Olympics Speedmasters can be difficult to get hold of as they were only released for the Japanese market and have long since sold out.
