HS9
The Lemania HS9 was issued to the Royal Naval Fleet Air Arm in 1945. HS stood for Hydrographic Service. The 9 was its watch specification number which stood for Chronograph.
This rare early example survives without the NATO re-issue numbers often found on these pieces that were added in the early 1950s.

Sterile white dial
Black Lemania, ‘Broad Arrow’ and ‘T’ logos with black arabic numerals
Cream Patina to the syringe hands and light cream Patina to the tritium marker plots.
Mild patina to areas of the dial, slightly darkened towards the edge near the 10 marker (otherwise in very good overall condition for the age)
Strap
Sand beige Nato strap with steel fittings
Dating to circa 1945

In overall very good condition for an issued military watch with minor wear and marks to the case, marks to the case back and marks to the lugs, see photos.
A great example of an important WW2 era issued Military timepiece.
